A study published by Nielsen present which topics were the most popular among Weibo users on 2015 Singles’ Days. Aside from Tmall, Singles’ Day’s origin, AliTrip, and Jumei (group-shopping website focusing on beauty products) were the most popular topics on November 11th.
- On Weibo #singlesday topic was more popular among female users (64.8%) than among male (35.2%).
- Among all product categories, home appliances was the most popular.
- AliTrip reached 100 million RMB in sales in the first 3 minutes.
