Social media in China has success, partly due to how many Internet users China has. China has around 584 million users who are accessing the Internet, making social media easier for everyone to get access to. In addition, social media in China is used in a variety of ways. Not only are news stories posted onto these sites, but consumers are finding daily deals via online shopping here, they are staying on top of the latest social trends and the like. This has all worked to make social media what it is in China. The lesson that can be learned for other countries is that social media can be used as a way to increase consumer spending and consumer interest in hot topics. This is what other countries are lacking in their social media platforms.
